CLEAR provides modeled environmental guidance only. It does not replace medical advice, occupational safety programs, or regulatory air-quality reporting.
Coordinates are sent to CLEAR servers only to fetch environmental and place-name data for your session. We do not store GPS history, build marketing audiences from location, or sell location telemetry.
Requests use POST JSON bodies so latitude and longitude do not appear in URL query strings. That reduces exposure in browser history, reverse-proxy logs, CDN access logs, and routine server access logs. Operators may still see request metadata in infrastructure logs; retention follows hosting provider defaults unless otherwise documented.
- Open-Meteo — air quality and weather forecast grids (including CAMS/Copernicus contributions where applicable).
- Nominatim / OpenStreetMap — reverse geocoding. Place data © OpenStreetMap contributors under the ODbL.
Modeled US AQI values from Open-Meteo are not EPA or AirNow regulatory readings. PM2.5-derived estimates are labeled separately when vendor AQI is unavailable.
"Data confidence" describes input completeness and forecast recency—not whether outdoor activity is safe for you. Exposure bands and advisory scores are separate modeled signals.
CLEAR can help identify UV-aware outdoor timing. It does not determine your Vitamin D level or medical need. Sunlight exposure windows are environmental timing guidance only—they do not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure deficiency, and do not promise Vitamin D production. People with health concerns should consult a qualified clinician.
Allowlisted product events (event name, timestamp, page path) may be stored for pilot analytics when a database is configured. Events never include coordinates, place labels, or free-text notes. Signed-in events may be associated with your account id only.
